The largest American manufacturer of these paper fantasies was - and still is - The Beistle company in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. The second book, The History and Magic of Honeycomb, co-authored by Virginia Gunn and Jeannette Lasansky, focuses on the development and use of honeycomb paper goods in the Far East, Europe and the United States as well as related phenomena in textiles, patterned glass, aerospace, clothing and more.
